The autonomous communities have notified the Ministry of Health this Wednesday 4,427 new cases of Covid-19, 2,160 of them diagnosed in the last 24 hours. These figures have been lower than those of the same day last week, with 4,984 positives.
The total number of infections in Spain has risen to 3,715,454 since the start of the pandemic, according to official statistics. The Accumulated incidence in the last 14 days per 100,000 inhabitants was 111.91, compared to 113.45 this Tuesday. In the past two weeks, a total of 53,101 positives have been registered.
23 new deaths were added to this Wednesday's report, compared with 66 last Wednesday. Until 80,332 people with a positive diagnostic test have died since the start of the pandemic, according to the data collected by the Ministry.
Currently there 3,704 patients admitted throughout Spain and 1,040 in the ICU. In the last 24 hours, there have been 418 admissions and 555 registrations. The bed occupancy rate was 3% and 10.94% in ICUs.
Between May 30 and June 5, the autonomous communities have carried out 666,089 diagnostic tests, of which 431,105 were PCR and 234,984 antigen tests, with a global rate per 100,000 inhabitants of 1,416.42.
