The Ministry of Health has notified 9,901 new infected with coronavirus on Thursday afternoon, which is the highest figure in a month and a half, since last February 25 (when there were 9,568 infections). Likewise, it has registered 142 more deaths from the disease. The accumulated incidence at 14 days continues to rise, and stands at 174.52 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, 6 and a half points more than Wednesday, when it stood at 167.97 cases.
The accumulated incidence rises in all the autonomous communities, except in the Canary Islands and Catalonia. Melilla continues to exceed 400 cases (483.49) and Ceuta also exceeds this threshold (433.48). After them, the figures for Navarra (379.46), Madrid (315.49), Euskadi (289.12), La Rioja (198.80), Aragon (189.64) and Catalonia (184.49) stand out.
In addition, at this time, 9,384 people are admitted to Spanish hospitals for coronavirus, which means that 7.50% of the beds are occupied by these patients. Of these, 2,024 need special care in the ICU, which has an occupation of 20.26% of patients with this disease. On the other hand, in the last 24 hours, income has been slightly higher than high: 1,136 versus 1,080, respectively.
Regarding the vaccination campaign, Health has reported that the threshold of 3 million immunized in Spain has been exceeded. Specifically, 3,020,450 people have received the two doses, which represents 6.4% of the population. Also on Thursday a new record of administered doses was registered, 453,682 more than on Wednesday.
