The Community of Madrid will begin to vaccinate from February 25 to the municipal police, firefighters and civil protection at the Atlético de Madrid stadium, the Wanda Metropolitano, as reported by the regional government in a statement.
To launch the device, the Community will have the collaboration of the Security Agency, Emergencias Madrid 112 and the Madrid Federation of Municipalities, collectives that are part of vaccination group 6.
In addition, Madrid will start the vaccination campaign for more than 30,000 large dependents from the region not institutionalized (not belonging to residences and caregivers). The vaccination of this group will be taken into account based on the number of doses available.
The Ministry of Health has also taken up the injections of the first dose to professionals of health centers, SUMMA 112 and hospitals that could not receive it in January due to the delivery of "half of the vials compromised" by the central government, as indicated.
With the new remittances from Pfizer and Moderna, the first and second doses are being vaccinated this week to professionals from 63 health centers, both public and private that make up group 2.
The vaccination process with AstraZeneca has also started for the staff from other health and socio-health professions, belonging to essential services for society. These are physiotherapists, pharmacists, dental technicians, speech therapists, clinical psychologists, opticians, and public health professionals.
