Health has reported this Friday of 38,118 new cases and 513 deaths, the incidence drops for the second day in a row, which is in 886 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, three points less than yesterday.
Hospital pressure continues to grow amid doubts as to how far the impact of the increasingly present British variant will reach. Currently, 43.95% of the beds in the ICU throughout Spain are occupied by people infected with coronavirus, a figure that on Thursday it was 42.84%. But there are several communities where that percentage exceeds 50%, in the Valencian Community, 60%.
Still half a dozen communities exceed the threshold of one thousand, Castilla-La Mancha, Castilla y León, Valencian Community, Extremaduara, Melilla and Murcia. The British variant already accounts for 20% of coronavirus samples collected in the last week in Asturias, as reported by the Ministry of Health.
