Restrict mobility, reduce capacity or close parks: this is proposed by Illa for all of Spain


Restrict mobility in municipalities with more than 500 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, reduce capacity in hotels and businesses, or close parks. Those are some of the measures that are included in the draft that the Ministry of Health will present to the CCAA this Wednesday and with which it is intended to stop the increase in cases of Covid-19.

The plenary meeting of the Interterritorial Council of the National Health System (CISNS) will have to approve these new restrictions that, according to El País, will have to start up within a maximum period of 48 hours.

Of course, the limit of inhabitants will not be the only condition to apply these measures, which will not be carried out if, at least, 90% of the cases detected in the municipality correspond to non-family outbreaks perfectly identified and controlled, and if these have been conveniently communicated to the Alerts and Emergencies Coordination Center of the Ministry of Health.

In addition to the incidence, municipalities with more than 100,000 inhabitants will have to present a percentage of positivity in the results of the diagnostic tests for active infection by Covid-19 carried out in the previous two weeks greater than 10% and the CCAA to which it belongs to have an occupation of beds by Covid-19 patients in Intensive Care Units (ICU) greater than 35% of the usual endowment.

The measures would affect ten municipalities, all of Madrid

According to the draft, in addition to restricting mobility, the Ministry of Health will propose to the councilors of the affected CCAA limit meetings to six people and close playgrounds to avoid crowds. Also bring the closure in hospitality to 11 pm and reduce its capacity, where the terraces can only be at 60% and it cannot be consumed in the bars. In commercial premises, the maximum capacity will be 50% and the closing time may not exceed 22 hours.
