Madrid collides with the Ministry of Health again. The Community chaired by Isabel Díaz Ayuso urges not to apply the new restrictions to the entire capital equally. "It must be taken into account that the city of Madrid is a set of 21 districts, of which 18 have over 100,000 inhabitants, and therefore, the indices cannot be applied, as a whole, to the entire city," he tells through a statement.
The regional administration affirms that it maintains "the commitment to collaboration, joint work and institutional loyalty" for the meeting this afternoon of the Interterritorial Council of the National Health System.
The Community, after reaching an agreement with the Executive on Tuesday to make effective measures in towns with more than 100,000 inhabitants, points out today that "It is necessary to know the scientific and technical basis that supports the new criterion of 500 infections per 100,000 inhabitants proposed by the Ministry of Health ".
A TEST TO EVERY MADRILIAN
The Community of Madrid also ensures that, where appropriate, "The criterion of elasticity capacity in hospital beds and ICU posts must be taken into account. The Community of Madrid has the availability to expand the hospital capacity if necessary and is also completing the construction of the new public Hospital Nurse Isabel Zendal, which will notably increase said care response ".
In addition, it urges that "the diagnostic capacity of the Community of Madrid must be included as a criterion, much higher than that of the rest of the Autonomous Communities. With the collaboration of the central government, the Community of Madrid would be in a position to carry out a test on each Madrilenian right now".
"The Community of Madrid asks for objective and clear criteria for all the Autonomous Communities but that do not adhere only to the three indicators known in the last hours. These parameters must be expanded within the dialogue with all the Health Ministries", he concludes.
