Madrid asks the Government for military and police support to carry out surveillance tasks


Ignacio Aguado has announced that the Community of Madrid will request the Government to deploy 222 members of the Civil Guard and the National Police to carry out surveillance tasks in relation to non-compliance with the quarantines that are occurring by COVID-19 patients .

It will also request military logistical support for "the installation of tents, the performance of tests and the disinfection of basic health areas subject to restrictions." All this with the aim of "facing this second wave of coronavirus with the best sanitary guarantees."

Regarding the situation of primary and hospital care, the Madrid vice president has also announced at a press conference that they will tackle an "express reform of the current regulations for the immediate incorporation of 300 non-community doctors who worked in the first wave of the pandemic in the Community from Madrid".
