Will McAfee return to the Ghost Coin project?

John McAfee expressed his opinion on the latest developments in the project governance Ghost, which he had dropped out, saying he could reconsider his choice and work with them again.

This is a project of privacy-centric blockchain and its token, Ghost Coin, allows greater privacy than traditional tokens and also incredible speed since it is based on the DPoS (Delegated Proof of Stake) consensus protocol.

The reason for McAfee's abandonment was precisely the governance system, which used outdated logic and was not keeping up with the times and speed of the project and the industry.

McAfee's decision regarding the Ghost Coin government

In the page of governance updates, it is indicated that 3 custodians will be appointed who will manage the keys for the entire Ghost system.

These custodians will have different roles:

  • Program Management, responsible for executing the Ghost project according to stakeholder requests;
  • Communication and marketing, which includes web presence, various chats and various official team communications;
  • Software development management, which includes code management, testing and maintenance.

Decisions on these issues will be put to a vote. The vote will be done by the token holders. There will be a first vote on the Telegram channel that will last for 24 hours and must reach 51% of the votes, then we will move on to the vote that involves the participation of users who have already voted on the Telegram channel, a fundamental requirement participate in this second vote.

The method involves shipping to a specific address:

  • 1 GHOST token, for abstention;
  • 2 GHOST tokens, to vote no;
  • 3 GHOST tokens, to vote yes.

Here too a 51% majority will be needed. Voting will remain open for 72 hours so that everyone can participate.

At this point McAfee, if you feel that future efforts will be directed towards creating a privacy-centric coin with the proper governance rules, you may consider back to project and support it.
