Coronavirus cases continue to skyrocket in Spain. Fernando Simón explained at a press conference that this weekend there have been an average of 8,000 cases per day.
With regard to the last 24 hours, in Spain there have been 2,440 new infections and the total since Friday amounts to 26,560. In this way, the country has exceeded 525,000 infections.
"The situation is much more favorable, but we continue in an ascending phase of cases, especially in some specific autonomous communities ", has clarified Simón.
The Community of Madrid is once again the most punished Spanish territory in Spain. Although the data is still very worrying from the Ministry of Health rules out the perimeter confinement of Madrid.
The Minister of Health has advanced this morning that he considers a perimeter confinement in Madrid unnecessary and has stated that "the measures to contain the virus must be very well thought out."
THREE MILLION DOSES IN DECEMBER
The Government continues to set dates for the arrival of the vaccine in Spain. The Minister of Health, Salvador Illa, explained this Monday that the country will have three million doses of the Oxford vaccine in December as long as "the clinical tests exceed the due guarantees".
Illa has advanced that Europe will buy a minimum of seven vaccines and a maximum of nine, although at the moment the contract has only been signed with the AstraZeneca company because it is the one with the most advanced tests.
