Pablo Casado, president of the popular party, has ceased to Cayetana Álvarez de Toledo as parliamentary spokesman for the political group in Congress, as the PP reported in a statement on Monday.
The president thanked Álvarez de Toledo for his work during these two legislatures at the head of the parliamentary group and has expressed his wish that he continue to collaborate in the project of the political party for the future.
However, until this time, the future of Álvarez de Toledo is still a secret. The one who was the representative of the political group in Congress has summoned the media at 7:30 p.m. to make a public statement in which she will announce her decision to remain as a deputy or, on the contrary, to leave.
The popular leadership will propose to Concepción Gamarra to replace the former spokeswoman in the position, after a team remodeling was planned in Genoa.
Other changes reported by the political party include Ana Pastor, as a possible new Deputy Secretary for Social Policy, and José Luis Martínez-Almeida, current mayor of the Community of Madrid, as national representative of the PP. The changes will be made official next Thursday when, when Casado has summoned the National Board of the PP to a telematic meeting.
