The Ministry of Health has notified this Friday 2,897 new infections in the last 24 hours, a figure that is similar to the one provided yesterday. In total there are 342,813 positives for Covid-19. The accumulated incidence rises and is already at 109.27 per 100,000 inhabitants.
The increase in cases that is occurring in recent weeks has led Health and the 17 autonomous communities to implement a series of measures, such as close nightlife or the prohibition of smoking on public roads if a safety distance of two meters cannot be maintained.
Currently there are already 342,813 positive cases and 28,617 deaths in Spain, of which 62 correspond to the last 24 hours.
In the last week, 27,354 new infections have been detected. Most of them are concentrated in Madrid (6,481), Catalonia (4,899), Aragon (3,309) and the Basque Country (2,643).
Hospitalizations have already exceeded a thousand in the last seven days. The regions with the highest income from Covid-19 are Madrid (279), Aragón (171), Andalusia (99) and the Valencian Community (96). Likewise, in the last week 46 patients have been admitted to intensive care units (ICU).
The virus transmission rate, which is calculated with infections per 100,000 inhabitants in 14 days, is already 109.27. The highest rate occurs in Aragon (569.47), followed by the Basque Country (195.04), Navarra (188.16) and Madrid (171.19).
