Staking arrives for institutional investors

The provider of cryptocurrency custody solutions Trustology announced participation in Ethereum 2.0 for institutional investors.

In fact, it is expected that the new version of Ethereum, called 2.0, in which transactions are validated through the Proof of Participation, is launched at the end of the year.

This will allow ETH holders to bet on them, but while this operation will be fairly simple for small investors, it will have some more complications for large investors, due to a problem related to the custody of ETHs that must be staked.

In fact, many institutional investors prefer to entrust their tokens to special custodial services with a high level of security, such as Trustology, so if they want to bet them in these cases they will have to go through the custody service they are using.

Among all these, Trustology will be one of the first to offer integrated support for ETH 2.0 staking through the application, the web or the API.

This will be done through the TrustVault wallet, capable of using different levels of security, including biometrics, multi-sig, walled gardens, and high-level encryption.

In this way, users will not have to deal with the technical management of the tools necessary for staking, while reducing the risk of loss of funds, and they will be able to access these new services in a simple way, with the Ethereum address of her wallet.

The change to the Proof of Stake (PoS) will allow investors to earn passive income by participating in transaction validation.

According to a PwC report, 42% of all crypto hedge funds are already actively involved in staking, while 38% use crypto loans, for example, for margin trading, and 27% lend their own tokens to earn interest.

ETH 2.0 is now probably one of the most exciting gaming opportunities in the world of cryptocurrencies, even for large institutional investors.

Among other things, Binance has recently selected Trustology, along with four other providers, to participate in the ConsenSys Codefi as-a-service stake test.

The founder and CEO of Trustology, Alex Batlinhe commented:

"Our partnership with ConsenSys allows us to accelerate bettors to the front line for a jump in earning interest on their passive income.

ETH2.0 brings to the fore the need for safe but fast custody solutions at the banking level. Thanks to our custom HSM firmware, we are able to lead the market by offering a fast and scalable custody wallet solution for both investors looking to bet on ETH 2.0 and validators involved in stakeout operations. ”
