The Minister of Health, Salvador Illa, held a meeting on Thursday with the director general of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom, hours after participating in the State Tribute to victims of coronavirus.
During the meeting, which took place at the Ministry of Health, Illa and Adhanom analyzed the epidemiological situation in Spain and in the world. Both have agreed that early detection, extreme vigilance, and public awareness are keys to contain the virus.
The minister also thanked Tedros Adhanom for his trip to Spain to participate in the act of Tribute to the victims by Covid-19.
The general director of Public Health, Pilar Aparicio; the general director of Professional Organization, Rodrigo Gutiérrez; and the director of the Center for the Coordination of Health Alerts and Emergencies (Ccaes), Fernando Simón, among others.
