A new Land Rover promotional video explicitly announces the creation of the Bitcoin network.
The video was posted on Land Rover UK's official Twitter profile and is dedicated to his famous Range Rover.
Range Rover – refined over 50 years.

This year, the British manufacturer's luxury off-road vehicle celebrates 50 years, as the first version was launched on the market in 1970.
The video covers the years between 1967, the year Land Rover began designing the Range Rover, and 2020, showing all the different versions of the vehicle on the market in the past 50 years.
For each year displayed, an important event that occurred in that particular year is mentioned.
For example, for 1967, the first successful heart transplant stands out, while for 1969 the moon landing is mentioned.
Good, for 2009 there is an explicit mention of the creation of the Bitcoin network.
Here are the other events mentioned, along with the years they took place:
- 1970 The breakup of the Beatles,
- 1972 Mark Spitz wins 7 gold medals at the Olympics,
- 1977 The explosion of punk,
- 1981 The launch of MTV,
- 1989 The Berlin wall collapses,
- 1990 Tim Berners-Lee invents the Internet,
- 1996 The Cloning of Dolly the Sheep,
- 1997 Girl Power conquers the world,
- 2005 The first video posted on YouTube,
- 2015 Traces of water discovered on Mars,
- 2017 The total eclipse of the sun.
It is worth noting that many are events related to technological innovation or the appearance of disruptive factors, and perhaps it is precisely for this reason that the birth of Bitcoin was chosen for 2009.
The Bitcoin protocol was published by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2008, but the first block in the Bitcoin blockchain was mined by Satoshi himself on January 3, 2009.
An interesting thing is that even in WikipediaIn the section dedicated to the important events of 2009, there is the creation of the Bitcoin Genesis Block, along with other important events that occurred in the same year, such as the appointment of the first black president of the United States, Barack Obama, the eclipse. 21st century longest total solar, the discovery of significant traces of icy water on the Moon, or the discovery of the first habitable extrasolar planet.
It is curious that for this announcement the creation of the Genesis Block is preferred to the discovery of the first habitable planet outside the Solar System, obviously considering it the most significant event of 2009 in terms of technological innovation or disruptive events.
