TRON has announced the launch of Tronz that will implement greater privacy to its Blockchain

The official date for the introduction of privacy in the TRON (TRX) blockchain has been announced thanks to the project Tronz, which is scheduled for release on July 7.

As you can read in the press release, this is a protocol that is represented by a smart contract and takes the name of "Smart Contract Privacy Protocol", which will be a integral part of TRON 4.0, as announced by Justin Sun himself.

Tronz vs Zcash for privacy

The Tronz team He launched the MPC Torch Project (Multi-Party Computation) at the beginning of the year, in which a total of 196 developers from around the world participated, even surpassing Zcash.

Tronz uses the zk-SNARK technology (Concise non-interactive zero-knowledge argument) which can also be found on the Zcash (ZEC) blockchain.

This technology allows different types of transactions to be carried out, depending on the user's needs:

  • completely public
  • partially armored
  • fully armored

Also, last month Zcash registry a spike in armored transactions.

Tronz has realized that the smart contract that implements the zk-SNARK is It also applies to all TRC20 tokens and is therefore not reserved for only the main TRON token: TRX.

In short, privacy will apply to the entire blockchain, and therefore all tokens based on it, allowing anyone to integrate this type of functionality.

The protocol will be released completely free and accessible to everyone in July, so developers won't have to pay any fees to implement it.

This move has probably been made with the goal of increasing its dissemination and integration across all TRC-20 tokens, not least because it is part of the TRON blockchain long-term vision to offer different services, including increased privacy.

Privacy in blockchains

Privacy is a true mantra in the blockchain space and has seen many developments in 2020: in fact, the Litecoin (LTC) blockchain is also taking giant steps to integrate the MimbleWimble (MW) protocol by adding its blocks to the mainchain to guarantee confidentiality.

Here too, it will be at the user's discretion whether or not to review transactions. The testing phase should start in September.

Latest news on TRON

In any case, this is certainly good news for Tronz and follows other positive news from the past period, such as the fact that addresses have exceeded 6 million and that block number 20 million has been reached.

However, if, on the one hand, there is positive news, this blockchain also brings countless criticisms, such as those related to poll recent, or the strong accusations made by Adam Back, who rated Shitcoin TRX, or the Steemit case and Justin Sun's unplanned intervention.
