The President of the Generalitat, Quim Torra, has announced during his meeting with Pedro Sánchez and the other autonomous presidents that he is going to present a claim to the State of 4,000 million for the extra expense that the coronavirus has generated for the Generalitat.
In this same meeting, the Lehendakari Íñigo Urkullu has asked Sánchez to "rethink" the time slots and encourage a return to the classroom.
In turn, Sánchez has communicated to all regional presidents that the death toll from the virus has dropped to 87, down from a hundred for the first time in two months. The figure is, therefore, the lowest recorded since the beginning of the health crisis, on March 14. It's about data "frankly hopeful", Sánchez has recognized.
In terms of infections, there have been 421 new positives, 0.18% more hospitalizations and 0.3% more ICU admissions.
It is expected that by mid-morning, Fernando Simón, Health technician, will come out to assess these numbers. It should be remembered that starting this Monday the whole country except Madrid, Barcelona and part of Castilla y León will be in phase 1. In addition, some Canary Islands will begin their journey through phase 2 of the de-escalation.
