TOP 15 Blockchain platforms by daily active addresses
– CryptoDiffer (@CryptoDiffer) March 31, 2020
Actually these are the 15 main blockchains, since, for example, Ethereum allows the exchange of several tokens with the same address.
At the top of the list is Bitcoin, with approximately 734,000 addresses active during the month, but below 760,000 in February.
Second is Ethereum, with 387,000 active addresses, just over half of Bitcoin's, up sharply from 316,000 in February.
XRP collapsed in fifteenth place, while third place is Ethereum Classic, with less than half of Ethereum's active addresses.
TRON, for example, performs worse than Ethereum Classic and ranks fourth with less than 90,000 active addresses. That's just over half of the Ethereum Classic addresses, but less than a quarter of the Ethereum addresses.
No data is provided for EOS, which is the third largest blockchain for dApps, along with Ethereum and Tron, and no data for the Binance Chain either.
TRON is followed by Stellar, Dash, Litecoin, Dogecoin, and only ninth by Bitcoin Cash. This position is a bit surprising since, with only 37,000 active addresses during the month, it registers a figure that is less than a tenth of that of Ethereum, and almost twenty times less than that of Bitcoin.
Overall, of the 15 blockchains, 10 have seen a drop in active addresses this month compared to February, with the sharpest drops recorded by XRP (-83.3%), Dogecoin (-34.9%), and Bitcoin SV ( -32.2%).
The blockchains that grew the most in this period were Stellar (+ 27.2%), Ethereum (+ 22.4%) and Bitcoin Cash (+ 13.5%).
